I came for a meal with my friends and we had the royal set meal.

we had some lovely crispy popadoms with sweet mango chutney and saucy dips… malai tikka and butter chicken along with jeera aloo, naans and pilau rice! This was the most amazing food I have eaten in a very long time. We had a brilliant night, thanks to all the staff! Me and the girls will be returning next week as we have just booked our table! Thanks Spice Quarter see you soon!

Me and my Girlfriend went to Spice Quarter about 2 weeks ago an thoroughly enjoyed it!! We had the set menu called taste of india, as a veggie I demolished the popadoms and mango chutney, vegetable pakkora and onion bhajis along with a spice quarter salad and masala chips.. which were like no chips Ive ever tried before. They were delish! I also ate the saaj paneer whilst trying to fight my girlfriend off the second portion of masala chips! Over all the meal was great! I usually find been a veggie a lot of restaurants hardly cater for us and theres usually only one of 2 dishes to choose from.. but I was spoilt for choice at Spice Quarter… We plan to come back next week so we will see you soon SQ!

Cardiff’s Finest!

When I visited Spice Quarter recently I was very tied on what to have to eat. Then i spotted they do thali’s, which is a silver platter that includes small portions of many differently spiced and types of food. I decided to go for the royal thali, which had many different chicken and lamb dishes on it. I certainly made a good choice! The chicken was juicy and tender and the lamb melted in my mouth. The staff were very efficient and made me and my family feel very welcome! Thank you to everyone at Spice Quarter for a great night and beautiful meal!

I went to Spice Quarter for my friends birthday last night, and we loved it! The atmosphere was great and the staff were very welcoming. I had the three vegetable platter for starter which i shared with my friends, and the prawn passanda for my main. The prawns were well presented and deliciously tasty! If you visit Cardiff anytime soon Spice Quarter is the restaurant to eat at!

I recently visited Spice Quarter Cardiff, when visting family in Wales. Neither me nor my family had ever been before. However upon arrival we were greated by a very friendly lady who took usto our table, her friendly and welcoming personality made us feel comfortable. We ordered some drinks whilst chosing what to have to eat. The decor of the restaurant is gorgeous, and gives an authentic indian feel! When the food arrived it was clear its not just the service and decor that is of such a high quality. The popadoms were the best I have eaten in a very long time, and the chicken was fresh and juicy, my curry was just rightly spiced… not too hot! Although the portion was more than enough to fill me, I couldnt resist but to have dessert too! I cant wait to visit my parents again, and go back to Spice Quarter. Thank you to all the staff for making my experience one to remember!

Spice Quarter Launch New Menu Over The Weekend

The much-loved Indian restaurant Spice Quarter launched their new menu at weekend.

The team of chefs went al fresco on Saturday to give shoppers the true taste of Indian cuisine.

Visitors were able to try some exciting new dishes by the Spice Quarter team and enjoyed a special live performance by bhangra dance troupe Desi Nach.

Head chef Jaypal Singh was showing off his skills with a live cooking demonstration. The new menu featured mouth watering dishes prepared and served following the traditions of Moghuls and Maharaja India, when food was perceived as a pleasure rather than a necessity.
All the Chefs have been recruited from five star hotels in Delhi and Bombay, each of them specialising in authentic cooking styles and taste from the diverse regions of India. Our chefs have endeavoured to stay true to the actual origin of each regional dish, honestly recreating flavours normally associated with traditional Indian home cooked foods.

“Excellent Food” – Customer Review

[17 Jul 2009 | No Comment ]

We reserved a table at the spice quarter cardiff as it had a good write up in various internet restaurant sites. We were not disappointed! Excellent food (with a number of novel treats e.g.Malai Kofta) good service, good ambience and excellent value. We, as visitors, were not the first to make this discovery as 95% of the clientelle, by their local accents, verified. I know where I will be eating after the next rugby international wales play at home! In fact, I think i’ll book my table now.

“Nothing like the heavy balls of stodge often served” – Customer Review

[17 Jul 2009 | No Comment ]

We arrived at the Spice Quarter early but they did everything to accommodate us. Nothing was too much trouble and my coeliac friend was most impressed with the manager’s knowledge. The starters were outstanding and had that really “home made” and fresh taste – it was wonderful to see pakora on the menu and the onion bhaji were simply irresistable and nothing like the heavy balls of stodge often served. All of the mains were excellent and I would thoroughly recommend this lovely restaurant!
